One popular teeth straightening system is Invisalign®.Invisalign® straightens teeth using a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners that are custom-made specifically for your teeth. As you replace each aligner every two weeks, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week, gradually moving towards the projected final position.With Invisalign®, achieving the smile you always dreamed of doesn’t have to be a big deal. The traditional route to correcting issues such as crooked teeth, gaps and crowded mouths has long been visible braces. However, Invisalign® system uses no brackets or wires - is it clear, removable and comfortable, so it won’t interfere with your appearance or your life.
Using advanced 3-D computer imaging technology, Invisalign aligners are created and can show a complete treatment plan, from the initial positioning of your teeth to the final desired straight position. Your aligners are changed and replaced every 2 weeks, slowly moving your teeth until the final straight result is achieved.
How does Invisalign® work?

Aftercare
When you’ve finished wearing each aligner in the series, your treatment will be complete, and you will have the beautiful smile you’ve always wanted. To ensure that your perfect new smile stays this way, you’ll wear retainers at night for the first six months and then as instructed by your dentist (usually a few times a week.)

Based on your appointment, a series of aligners are custom made in a laboratory using advanced computer imaging technology. You wear each aligner for two weeks before being replaced with the next one, until your teeth are straight.

Aligners are nearly invisible (straighten your teeth without anyone noticing). Aligners are comfortable and there are no wires or metal to cause mouth abrasions. Aligners are removable for eating, drinking, dental care, or other activities. You can also brush and floss normally to maintain healthy gums and teeth.

Depending on difficulty, most treatments will take 12-18 months.
It is normal that you will only feel temporary discomfort when you wear the aligners for the first few days. The smooth aligners are not harmful to the inside of your mouth, but you do feel pressure and this is a good sign that the aligners are working.
